Andy Gray

Andy Gray is a senior lecturer at the Department of Therapeutics and Medicines Management, Nelson R Mandela School of Medicinet the University of Kwazulu-Natal.

Deshen Moodley

Dr Deshen Moodley is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa. He is currently based at the Machine Vision Unit, School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom on a sabbatical research visit. He currently leads the Health Enterprise Architecture Lab. His broad research interests are large scale intelligent architectures, ontologies and multi-agent systems. His current research activities include the creation of innovative architectures and technologies for health information systems in developing countries, the use of ontologies and software agents to build intelligent distributed systems for earth observation (Semantic Sensor Web), biodiversity, and cognitive vision.

Chris Seebregts (Executive Director)

Dr Chris Seebregts is an Executive Director and founder-member of Jembi and also a Senior Technology Manager in Biomedical Informatics within the e-Health Research and Innovation Platform at the South African Medical Research Council.  He is also an honorary associate professor in the school of computer sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a lecturer on the MPH (Medical Informatics) program at the University of South Africa.

Sandy Dove

Sandy Dove is a senior project manager at HISP (Health Information Systems Programme), an organisation which aims to support the improvement of health care systems in the southern hemisphere by increasing the capacity of health care workers to make decisions based on accurate information. HISP provides training and support for users of the open source District Health Information System (DHIS) software, which is under continuous development.

Tony Bunn

Tony Bunn is the Director of the Innovation Centre at the Medical Research Council of South Africa, as well as honorary associate professor at UCT and extraordinary professor at Central University of Technology. He has a special interest in innovation in biotech and medical devices, business models, IP strategies and high-tech start-ups.
