Health Informatics Private-Public Partnership (HI-PPP)

The PEPFAR initiative and the Office of the US Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC), in conjunction with US Government (USG) implementing agencies, has launched a new Health Informatics Initiative (HI2). This initiative is being structured as a public-private partnership (PPP) to leverage its collective experiences and relationships with key partners. The objectives of the HIPPP Initiatives are to support country reference implementations, evolve a health enterprise architectural framework (HEAF), to provide countries with a general health information technology architectural approach, and to advance country ownership and leadership of health information systems (HIS) by implementing a platform of adaptive technical assistance approaches that build capacity.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a United Stated federal agency based in Atlanta, USA. It works to protect public health and safety by providing information to enhance health decisions and it promotes health through partnerships with state health departments and other organisations.
