Overview
Jembi is currently working on digital health projects in Ethiopia, including a project with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Headquarters (HQ) Technical Assistance Platform (TAP): OpenMRS PEPFAR Collaborative (OPC) and the Ethiopia Strategic Information (SI) initiative.
The In-Country Country Partner Coordinator (IPC) will be appointed as part of the CDC HQ TAP mechanism and will be a focal point for Jembi project activities in Ethiopia. The successful appointee will be appointed to a contract position for a period until 30 September 2021 (6-7 months, depending on start date) which may be renewed depending on further funding.
Required skills & experience
Mid-level professional with at least 5 years of relevant IT project management (PM) experience
Bachelor’s degree in Health Disciplines, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or Health Informatics with post-graduate qualification in Public Health, Health Informatics, Monitoring and Evaluation, or relevant discipline
Experience with PM solutions for monitoring and managing project execution, critical path activities, and interdependencies across multiple partners and countries
Inform appropriate persons/organizations of potential or existing risks/problems
Familiarity and/or experience with PEPFAR or other USG health initiatives
Familiarity and/or experience with informatics/software system projects, activities, terminology, and practices
Ability to understand and communicate complex business processes
Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally
Knowledge and experience in delivering training material for adult learners
Solid computer skills including Redmine Project Management Software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong communication skills and high level of professionalism
Ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently
Demonstrates the ability to work with interruptions, under stress and in emergency situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with end users up to the executive level in a professional and courteous manner
Ability to work effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds and at all levels
Beneficial skills & experience
In-depth experience, knowledge and understanding of the health information systems currently implemented in Ethiopia
