Intermediate Developer

Overview

As a dynamic, experienced and well-qualified Intermediate Developer, keen to grow your career, we’d love to have you join our vibrant technology team; adding your own impact to supporting local and international digital health projects in the public health technology sector.

Working within Agile Software Engineering Teams, reporting to a Team Lead, you’ll use your social smarts and technical expertise to help us deliver impact across many Jembi projects. You’ll need a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Java and Javascript technologies in production enterprise environments along with relevant education and/or training for this role.

Required skills & experience
  • You’ve gained experience as an intermediate software engineer or are ready to move into the role now

  • You have excellent coding skills and a solid understanding of web technologies and protocols

  • You have experience with NodeJS or Java

  • Experience with Docker - your knowledge of docker swarm would be a plus

  • You know Linux (including bash script coding)

  • You have solid expertise in SQL

  • You proudly take ownership of your software deliverables and work unsupervised by other senior developers

  • You’re great at critical thinking, resolving problems, and eager to explore new tech stacks and tools

Beneficial skills & experience
  • Experience in the public health sector

  • Have a good understanding of health interoperability standards and patterns

  •  Interest in DevOps

  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Golang, Typescript, or React
