Senior Project Manager

Overview

Jembi Health Systems NPC, is looking for a Senior Project Manager reporting to the Technical Director, who will be part of a core team to plan, organise and execute projects in an effective manner by providing critical support over the lifecycle of the projects.

The incumbent will support the Technical Director in project analysis; planning and evaluations; scoping and documenting preparation and review of cost schedules, budgets and forecast returns. As the project proceeds, the Project Manager will be responsible for providing regular reporting to ensure on time deliverables and substantial risk management assessments (including budget tracking, benchmarking; slippage reporting and milestone monitoring). Information collated and analysis by the incumbent will be key to the final analysis of the project’s performance and assessments of how successful the project has been at achieving Jembi’s objectives. Furthermore, this role requires an individual with strong interpersonal and emotional EQ; a person who is comfortable navigating the nuanced world of multiple stakeholders and voices delivering in a complexity of changing understanding. The incumbent demonstrates strong eco-systemic thinking and leverages their analytical and administrative skills to support the team and broader organisation. The Project Manager benefits from deep experience across industries and brings the fullness of their understanding to this role.

Required skills & experience

● Excellent time management and coordination skills

● Good knowledge of Computer skills (Email, Internet, Word, Excel etc.)

● Fluent in English (both oral and written)

● Experience working within a diverse team

●  Excellent communication and relationship building skills

●  Experience in developing document and writing reports, minutes etc

●  Experience with donor-funded projects, particularly USAID and/or PEPFAR will be an added advantage

● Ability to work both independently and in teams, within a fast-paced environment

● Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities;

● Excellent report writing, presentation and administrative skills.

● Flexible and willingness to undertake additional responsibilities

● Experience in public health sector

● Previous work with Electronic Health Record systems

Responsibilities


● Research and collate projects information required to manage start-up to delivery on projects - includes preparing detailed plans reporting intervals, determining resources and allocation, timelines management and identifying risk

● Facilitation of meaningful project timeframes, objectives and communications and necessary team dynamics

● Verifying data and information and analysis

● Maintaining current knowledge on the legislation applicable to each project

● Providing support by handling some operational aspects of a project - coordinating with stakeholders and consultants, conducting internal meetings, reviewing finances, and streamlining the overall workflow, with the primary aim of keeping the project on schedule

● Establishing key performance indicators and monitoring the project with reference to cost estimates, overall plans, and deliverable deadlines

● Preparing presentations and regular status reports to be prepared for the Technical Director

● Acting as the main source of information about the project to Technical Director
