Jembi Health Systems NPC staff held the official launch of their new offices at Tokai on Main on 2 March 2017.
The launch was well attended by representatives from a range of organizations, including: Jembi’s Board and Executive Management Team; Department of Health; Department of Science and Technology; Medical Device Stakeholders Forum; Funders; Universities; Science Councils; Private Sector; Partners and the press.
The launch opened with an official Welcome by the Chair of Jembi’s Board, Prof Steve Reid, followed by Mr Wesley Solomon representing the National Department of Health. Jembi Founder and CEO, Prof Chris Seebregts, followed and explained the origins of Jembi in the South African Medical Research Council as well as the vision and mission of Jembi and the growth it has experienced since its registration as a non-profit company in 2009. Presentations by Jembi’s Technology Director, Pierre Dane and Corporate Services Director, Mrs Jonnea Smith, concluded the presentation component of the launch.
Afterwards guest were invited to visit the Health Architecture Laboratory and demonstrations of digital health programs and
solutions as well as share practical interaction with staff and see first-hand, the work that has been done.
