Executive Summary

This programme constitutes the technical core of the organisation. It aims to harness the skills and innovative thinking developed in our research and innovation programme, to design, develop and implement eHealth solutions. Jembi is currently regarded as one of the foremost specialists in health information systems based in Africa and has core competencies and highly skilled staff.

BSIS_

Blood Safety Information System (BSIS)

Jembi’s Blood Safety Strengthening Program (BSSP) and the development of the Blood Safety Information System (BSIS) is a Centre for Disease Control (CDC) funded program looking to develop an open source blood establishment computer system to support low resource settings as well as an effective implementation strategy to support the safe and sustainable implementation of the tool in countries.

MomConnect

MomConnect

Jembi has been working closely with the South African National Department of Health and mHealth service providers to create a National Pregnancy Registry (NPR). The NPR is a powerful platform for coalating, exchanging, analyzing and reporting person-level pregnancy data in the public health sector.

Advanced Clinical Care Project

The overarching aim of the Free State Advance Care Centre (ACCs) Project is to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of care delivered to patients presenting with complex cases of HIV in three of the five health districts in the Free State (FS) Province.

Anaesthesiological Data Warehouse Project

Jembi has been approached by ANSA to develop an anaesthesiological surgical outcome data warehouse with a web interface that will allow users to input and access pre-, peri- and postoperative anaesthesiology data.
