At the end of March, Jembi CEO, Dr Chris Seebregts, and HIS Specialist, Dr Richard Gakuba, attended the Tanzania Care Delivery Task Force workshop in Morogoro, Tanzania as technical assistance partners to Management Sciences for Health (MSH). The meeting was convened by the Tanzania Ministry of Health and Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as several partners. The objectives of the meeting included reviews of plans for the national EMR rollout and a client registry to link individual patient record systems. Presentations were also made by the University Computing Centre (UCC) and MoH on business processes for civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) and a proposed health interoperability application, respectively. Following a period of analysis and evaluation, the Tanzania MoH is entering an exciting phase of digital health development which promises to strengthen health systems and information for priority health services.
