Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) Project

Jembi is a core member of the Country Health Information Systems and Data Use (CHISU) project funded by USAID. CHISU is led by JSI (John Snow, Inc and JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc), with consortium partners RTI International, Vital Strategies, Macro- Eyes and the Global Evaluation and Monitoring Network for Health (GEMNet-Health).
Aims to strengthen country capacity, leadership, and self-reliance to manage and use high-quality health information systems to improve evidence-based decision-making.
Support a number of activities, including one health system strengthening in Indonesia and Madagascar.
Support for the Global Health Security Agenda in Indonesia and Madagascar.
During this period, Jembi participated in the development of two proposals with JSI / CHISU in Indonesia and Madagascar. The project in Indonesia included support for the adoption of the OpenHIE architecture and the national health data dictionary as well as adapting to the FHIR standard. In Madagascar, Jembi proposed to conduct digitisation needs assessment scoping for the National Nutrition Office with the aim of digitising its information systems and procuring ICT supplies to support this digitisation.
