Jembi Mozambique participated in the Matola Municipality Job Fair, where we showcased innovative digital health solutions to graduates, professionals, and institutional representatives.
The event served as a platform to highlight Jembi's work in Mozambique, focusing on its strategic interventions in health information systems throughout the country.
"It's always great to be able to introduce Jembi and its services to job/internship seekers and potential partners. This time we were given the unique opportunity to showcase Jembi's impact in Mozambique in front of the Matola Municipality, the industrial hub of Mozambique.
- Katia Paulino (Jembi Mozambique HR Manager)
This engagement follows the Memorandum of Understanding between Jembi and the Mozambique National Institute of Employment.
The job fair partnership strengthens Jembi's commitment to:
Connecting local talent with digital health sector opportunities
Enhancing youth employment in technology and health informatics
Developing efficient and inclusive information systems across public, private, and academic sectors
Through community engagement in Matola, Jembi continues to show our dedication to sustainable capacity building and advancing technology in Mozambique's health ecosystem.
Jembi invests in Mozambique's digital workforce in more than one way.
With our flagship internship programme, developed in partnership with universities and the National Institute of Employment (INEP), we have trained over 30 students since 2011, with 30% of them working full-time.
Jembians who started as interns and are still with us after nine years:
"I started as an intern in 2016 and later joined Jembi as an M&E officer. This journey has been a wonderful opportunity for professional and personal growth, allowing me to strengthen my skills in monitoring and evaluation, project management, implementation of information systems in different areas, and helpdesk management. It is truly rewarding to contribute actively to the team and to the organisation’s mission."
-- Vania Afonso, Jembi M&E Officer in Mozambique.

“I joined Jembi as an intern in web design, supporting the development of websites and communication tools, and today I work as a project officer. Along the years, I have grown both professionally and personally, learning how to manage projects, create digital content, and contribute to meaningful initiatives that strengthen digital solutions in Mozambique.”

"I started as a software development intern in 2021, and now I work as a software developer and scrum master and am also responsible for the integration of new interns in the area. During this process I went through several learning, responsibility and ethical processes that made me discover myself and grow personally and professionally, having really enjoyed the work culture and spirit of trust that is cultivated at Jembi."

"I started in 2022 as a software development intern, working mainly on SQL-based reporting for health systems. Today, I work as a junior developer, improving my skills in SQL and Java while supporting reporting solutions for HIV programmes. During this time, I have grown both technically and personally, and I value contributing to projects that make a real difference in people’s lives."
